Last summer, former HRI camp participants had the opportunity to teach classes themselves. Below is Roza's reflection. This summer was different from others which I had. I took part into the HRI. I. can't explain my feelings just by writing some sentences. I was working as a teacher for the first time ever, which was very touching.
As I'm from Armenia and I know approximately all the children participating at the camp it was so funny and the same time so difficult. I want to thank God because he gave me a chance to meet so many good people. When Nanor asked me, which class I would like to work on, I don't know why but I said Computer class and I forgot that I don't know much about computers. I will never forget that I was a computer teacher. )) For me the funniest group was the youngest. We couldn't get them into class but the teacher has to have other ideas in his mind so Gagik decided to go outdoors. We painted our "lightbot" class on the floor with chalk and the children were very happy especially when we were the robots and they had to tells us where we had to go. It wasn't as easy to work as a teacher as I had guessed. You have to be tolerance and I'm so glad that I had that. I have learned a lot of things during these big two weeks. Now, I can certainly say that the most enjoyable thing in the world is to see how children are happy. Their smiles are everything for me. I'm so glad to be a part of HRI. Memories do not die and I will always remember every moment. That was a great experience for me. I could imagine me as a future teacher. The people I met through HRI I will never forget my whole life and I hope we can meet again. :)
