Project Hope (Artsakh)

During the 2020 Artsakh War, Project Hope funded 14 shelters in Armenia, and HRI helped start schools in 7 of those shelters, including one location each at Kilikia, Vanadzor, Armavir, and four in Tsaghkadzor.

In-Person Tutoring

The Hidden Road Initiative ran an in-person program at the Brusov shelter in Tsaghkadzor. The weekly classes themselves centered around being able to closely work with students in order to foster strong relationships between students and tutors and provide students resources to excel in the subject. Students enjoyed the time they got to spend with our tutors one-on-one and always looked forward to the multiple engaging activities incorporated into the program. The curriculum allowed access to English proficiency with some existing topics being family, food, history, and culture. Within these topics, there were four sections including short clips, learning activities, and evaluation approaches to allow students to fully immerse themselves within the learning space. From there, the program's supplemental English online resources fully ensured all students had the assets to grow and strengthen their English learning skills.

In order for students to have an stronger learning environment and tutors to assess the student's progress more effectively, students were divided up by age and skill level. With three in-person tutors, our tutoring program provided a safe and healthy learning environment and resource for children of all different age levels to excel in their English language skills.
