Kindergarten for the village of Jrashen!
Jrashen is a village located in the Ararat Province of Armenia, with a population of about 1700 people. Despite its large population, due to a lack of funds, Jrashen has not had a kindergarten for over 25 years.
HRI learned about this village in 2015, and after two years of rigorous planning and various fundraisers in July 2017, our team members lead by Hasmik Baghdasaryan renovated, furnished and launched a brand new kindergarten, which will serve 30 children from ages 3 to 6. Today, Jrashen has a safe and inviting place for young children to learn and thrive in, which will not only serve the children but the welfare of young families and the village economy. |
