For the second consecutive year, The Hidden Road Initiative attended the sixth annual Clinton Global Initiative University, held at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Director of Development, Atina Manvelian and Blogger, Anita Tokatyan represented HRI at the annual conference hosted to provide students with skills sessions, networking opportunities, and motivational panels.

The conference began with enlightening introductions and welcomes from guest speakers Chelsea Clinton, former President Bill Clinton, Kenneth Cole, Jack Dorsey, William Kamkwamba, and Zainhab Salibi. They each shared their successes, failures, ridicule, and inspirations to a crowd of over 1,000 students, who all started their initiatives in a similar way: wanting to create change. Additionally, each of the following panels discussed ways for students to utilize technology, education, and creativity to promote their commitments.

During the conference, not only were we inspired and empowered to do more for ourselves and for our country, we recognized the success of our past projects, and the significance of those who aid our projects.

Thank you to our hard working members and generous sponsors for making our projects a reality, and continuing to connect Armenia to the rest of the world. Thank you to all of our donors who supported our Heating Systems project this past fall and winter. With your help, we raised  $5,818 to provide heaters AND textbooks to SIX village schools in Armenia! CLICK HERE for an overview of the project!

Washington University is now engaged into the activity of Writers Around the World (WAW). It's about students who want to become writers. They can also become writers during their first year of studying. The fund has raised more than $10 000.
