We wanted to showcase the hidden treasures and beauty of our village, located in the southernmost point of Armenia. We thus organized “Shvani Quest,” a touristic excursion that brought together 16 tourists from around the world, to experience the warmth and splendor of Shvanidzor, Syunik.
From lavash-making to cow-milking to visiting 17th-century churches and schools, we hoped to provide an authentic and immersive experience and foster a deeper appreciation of our village traditions and history. We collaborated with locals who helped host the guests in their homes for two nights. We also aimed to support the local economy by showcasing the villagers' craftsmanship and products during the tour.
