Scholar Projects from the 2024-2025 Academic Year

Here are the projects and programs implemented by our scholars.

Medical Educational Excursion​
by Lala Avetisyan from Levon Sargsyan Medical College   

Lala's project took place on March 28, 2025. 20 students from Makenis village, aged fourteen to eighteen, came to Yerevan to visit sites that would spark interest in natural sciences and medicinal work, for future educational opportunities.They visited Yerevan State Medical University and the American University of Armenia, conducted hands-on lab experiments at the Scientific Technological Center of Organic & Pharmaceutical Chemistry and explored the Yerevan Botanical Garden! Building on the First Aid training from Lala's project last year, this trip helped deepen their curiosity and sparked new dreams for careers in health and research.

Educational Bridges: From Shvanidzor to Yerevan
by Nane Arakelyan from the European University of Armenia, and Siranush Avetisyan from Brusov State University

“Educational Bridges,” was a 3-day trip to Yerevan that took place from Thursday, April 24 to Saturday, April 26. Fourteen students aged 14-18 from Shvanidzor village came to Yerevan to visit various universities and professional job sites. Siranush and Nane aimed to inspire the students through exposure to universities, workplaces, and real-life examples of professional success. They designed the project to help students connect their education to future aspirations!

​Youth Crossroads
by Anna Tumanyan from Yerevan State University and Tereza Sargsyan from the European University of Armenia

Anna Tumanyan and Tereza Sargsyan’s project “Youth Crossroads,” brought teens from Vardablur and Akhpradzor together for 2 unforgettable days of friendship, and cultural exploration. Day 1 included a village quest organized by Anna and the students from Vardablur, with clues and challenges that developed teamwork skills and built relationships, followed by visits to Sanahin, Hagphat, and Akhtala monasteries. Day 2 consisted of visits to Parz Lich, Vak Resort, and Haghartsin Monastery, exploring Armenia’s rich culture and history. Bravo, Anna and Tereza, on your successful project!

Artsakh Unity Day

Diana Khachatryan from American University of Armenia and Nazeli Bedyan from the National Polytechnic University

“One root, many branches” was the theme of Diana Khachtryan and Nazeli Bedyan’s project, Artsakh Unity Day. They led a group of students from Artsakh on a hike from Odzun monastery, to Horomayr monastery, where they danced Karno Kochari together, shared stories and reflected about adjusting to life in Armenia. They discussed how they can blossom in Armenia as different branches of the same root, Artsakh. The students each received personalized notebooks that had quotes with the dialect of their region in Artsakh, to wrap up a day of reflection and connection.
