As a Henry Keledjian Service Program Scholar, Serine helped start the first women-owned embroidery business in Shvanidzor, the brand Meghratel. Meghratel is a collection of needlework and embroidery inspired by traditional Armenian designs, sewn by the local women of Shvanidzor and Meghry.
The brand was developed under the teaching and mentorship of Teach For Armenia Teacher Leader, Armine Atoyan. Serine's role was crucial in the development of the branding and marketing of Meghratel. She's now working to showcase the brand at various festivals and collaborate with NGOs, such as the Homeland Development Initiative Fund.
