In an effort to expand on the Henry Keledjian Service project that I started last year, I decided to help furnish the Akhpradzor Youth Center that we renovated last year. To elaborate, last year, I brought together a group of my classmates from the village to help me renovate an uninhabited house in our village and turn it into the very first youth center of our village!
This year, in order to make the center a welcoming and enriching space for children, I used the Henry Keledjian Service fund to purchase furniture, supplies, and educational games for the Youth Center. For the last 3 months, students from Akhpradzor and the neighboring village of Makenis gather nearly every day to participate in after-school educational programming, dance classes, nail design courses, and hairdressing training.
