As part of my project, I run the Akhpradzor Youth Center with the aim of improving the students' learning, college readiness, and leadership skills. Within a few weeks, the center became a vital hub in our region. I can honestly say that the program has transformed our students' lives and inspired them to become leaders! We consider it a great achievement, especially given that many workshops are run by the students themselves!
As the director of the center and educational programming, I've been working to improve the students' speaking skills by facilitating debates, games, and discussions. Students in this region are generally closed off and discouraged from sharing their opinions. The program is proving to be very effective in helping them develop not only their own ideas but also their desire to learn new things. With my work at the Youth Center, I am hoping to further improve the quality of education and the students' college readiness skills.
