Inspired by last year's positive feedback from the "Akhpradzor Quest" participants, Lilit decided to recreate the adventure this year, expanding it to include an overnight stay with a local village family, giving rise to "Akhpradzor Quest 2024."
This two-day adventure in Lilit's native village of Akhpradzor brought together 10 individuals from Armenia and abroad. The participants engaged in a scavenger hunt, enjoyed locally prepared meals, and toured the village's historic sites with the village youth as their guides. They also participated in everyday village activities like milking cows and baking bread. Through this fun quest, they got to know the village and its warm residents better, creating unforgettable memories along the way.
Beyond the goal of exposing more people to the village, Lilit was also deliberate in involving the village youth in both the planning and execution of the quest. Looking ahead, there is now a team trained to organize and run the quest independently if they choose to do so. To achieve this, she enlisted six students from the Akhpradzor Youth Center. Over the span of six months, through weekly online and in-person meetings, they collaborated to plan every detail of the quest and prepare to present their village's significant sights to the visitors. Through this experience, the students learned computer, organizational, and communication skills.
