About the Program
INFORMATION ABOUT NEW CURRICULUM
Currently, our program boasts over 100 students from 23 villages in Armenia and Artsakh, who are paired one-on-one with over 70 tutors. This hands-on approach allows teachers to adequately address the students' skill level and ensure progression. Tutors close each session with a formative assessment and assign independent practice to promote long-term understanding. In these weekly classes, an undeniable relationship is established between our students and volunteers abroad as we collectively promote an English-learning opportunity in each village virtually.

Our HRI chapters play an integral role in recruiting tutors, in fact, with most of our tutors being current university students. Take a look below to hear from a few of our teachers.
[One of my most memorable moments is when] my students and I found our houses on Google Earth and learned the names of other countries in English and Armenian. I really love the community aspects of the program and when the students do art projects [during the group Zoom segment]. -Paul Deardorff
